Mellanrummet was born out of frustration. I wanted to be a typical landscape photographer, capturing towering mountains and deep valleys. But after moving to the flat farmlands of Västra Götaland, I realized the landscape around me offered something different.
One early morning on my way to work, I looked out over a field and saw a dilapidated, run-down building. The fog was resting low over the ground, the sun was just starting to rise, and it was honestly one of the most beautiful scenes I had ever witnessed.
That single moment sparked the idea for Mellanrummet. Over the past 1.5 years, it has evolved into a visual study of the subtle, everyday traces left by humans in nature.
